Electronic Defence Systems, a business area of Saab, is one of the world’s premier suppliers of solutions for surveillance, avionics and systems to detect, locate and protect against threat. At our site in Jönköping we are developing computer based systems and components for the next generation of aircraft from the world-leading aircraft manufacturers. Our group is working with specification, development and verification of software for utility and mission computers, control computers, hydraulic actuators, electric motors and motor controllers.The Bachelor’s thesis concerns theoretic and practical studies of using Profiling tools for development and verification of software in safety critical avionics systems.

Your future challenge
The Bachelor’s thesis will be divided in three steps:
A theoretic market study of commercial profiling tools and their properties and area of usage.
A practical evaluation of a number of the profiling tools to verify if they can be used in the software development.
Documentation of the profiling tools that have been evaluated and their properties and limitations.

Your job will include planning, specification and documentation of the usage of profiling tools.
The Bachelor’s thesis position is at the Saab EDS facilities in Jönköping. The position is suitable for one or two students. The work can be initiated between the beginning of April to the beginning of June or in the beginning of August, and will cover 10 weeks in total. If the period extends over July, at least a mandatory four-week vacation will be required. Oral and written reporting will be required.

Today's demands
A Bachelor student or a student within the ’Högskoleingenjörsutbildning’ may apply for the position. It is expected good knowledge in software development. Good skills in both speaking and writing in Swedish and English are required
