Uppdragsbeskrivning

Place of action
Electronic Defence Systems, a business area of Saab, is one of the world’s premier suppliers of solutions for surveillance, avionics and systems to detect, locate and protect against threat. Saab in Jönköping has a wide range of products, mainly for Aerospace applications, including e.g. utility and mission computers, control computers, hydraulic actuators, electric motors and motor controllers. Most of our equipment is safety critical and must be certified according to civilian standards. These standards put demands on the design process and in particular the development of requirements. The quality of the requirement specifications are therefore of high importance.

Your future challenge
The Master’s thesis will be carried out in three steps.
The student will begin with a theoretic study of requirements engineering from an avionics perspective, where the expected result is an identification of how good requirements are written and captured.
The second step will be to assess current requirement specifications.
After these steps the final result will be a template and guideline for writing requirements.

The Master’s thesis position is at Saab’s facilities in Jönköping. The position is suitable for one student. The work can be initiated between the beginning of November to the beginning of June. Oral and written reporting will be required.

Today's demands
A master’s student or a student within the ’Civilingenjörsutbildning’ may apply for the position. It is expected that students from E, Y, Z, or F may possess this knowledge.
