Electronic Defence Systems, a business area of Saab, is one of the world’s premier suppliers of solutions for surveillance, avionics and systems to detect, locate and protect against threat.
At our site in Jönköping we are developing computer based systems and components for the next generation of aircraft from the world-leading aircraft manufacturers.
Our group is working with specification, development and verification of software for utility and mission computers, control computers, hydraulic actuators, electric motors and motor controllers.

Your future challenge
The Master’s thesis concerns theoretic and practical studies of model based engineering.An existing product, developed to monitoring status for different mechanical devices shall be developed by model based engineering. The proposed tool is Rhapsody’s SysML.
The model shall include/contain the customer requirements, use case, functional design and architectural design.
Some analyses can be added on, like Safety Analysis, Fault Tree Analysis and Failure Mode Effect Component Analysis.
When the Model Based Design is ready, the difference shall be analysed concerning;
• Complexity
• Development time
• Flexibility
Your job will include planning, specification and documentation.

Today's demands
A Master’s student or a student within the ’Civilingenjörsutbildning’ may apply for the position. Speaking and writing in Swedish and English are required. It is expected that students from D, E, F, Y or, Z may possess this knowledge.
The Master’s thesis position is at the Saab EDS facilities in Jönköping. The position is suitable for one or two students.
