Uppdragsbeskrivning
Place of action
Electronic Defence Systems, a business area of Saab, is one of the world’s premier suppliers of solutions for surveillance, avionics and systems to detect, locate and protect against threat.
At our site in Jönköping we are developing computer based systems and components for the next generation of aircraft from the world-leading aircraft manufacturers.
Our group is working with specification, development and verification of software.
Your future challenge
The Master’s thesis concerns theoretical analysis, simulations and measurement.
DC/DC converters for conversion of uncontrolled DC voltage to controlled DC voltage occur frequently in avionics. The converters uses negative feedback and the control loop has to be unconditionally stable. An existing mathematical model describes the dynamic in the feedback. The department for Power Electronic wants to use this model during the design work and offers a Master’s thesis. The candidate shall use the model to simulate current designs. The simulation results shall be compared with measurement from a Network Analyzer. After evaluation proposals on methods and tools for future use shall be presented so simulations effectively can be used in the design process.
Today's demands
A student who wants to perform a 15 or 30 ECTS Master’s thesis and who wants to use theoretical knowledge in real electronics design may apply for the position.
Your background is within electronics, preferably power electronics or control theory.
The Master’s thesis position is at the Saab EDS facilities in Jönköping. The position is suitable for one or two students.
