If you would like to study Swedish in Sweden, a number of options are available. Here are some suggestions.

Learn Swedish at Mid Sweden University

Exchange students and international students admitted to a bachelor or Masters programme at Mid Sweden University can apply to the course Swedish Language, Swedish for foreign students. The course aims at providing an introduction to Swedish language and literature, as well as to Swedish culture and society.

Learn Swedish at SFI

Swedish for Immigrants (SFI), are offered by the Municipality to Immigrants as well as international students. It is however required that you have Swedish personal identity number and you must be registered resident of the Municipality. For more information contact the Municipality.

Learn Swedish at a Study associations

Study associations in Sweden’s cities and larger towns offer language courses in Swedish. A wide range of courses is available, of varying content, length and intensity. The courses are financed by fees. Here is contact information for some of the better-known study associations in Sweden:

Proficiency tests
