Geographically, Mid Sweden University is located in the middle of Sweden, right at the heart of Northern Europe. The capital of Sweden is Stockholm. Mid Sweden University has three campuses, in Härnösand, in Sundsvall and in Östersund.
Härnösand is located about 450 kilometres north of Stockholm. Sundsvall is located about 400 kilometres north of Stockholm, and Östersund is situated about 180 kilometres to the northwest of Sundsvall, about 550 kilometres north of Stockholm.
