Entry requirements, Bachelor´s programmes

General entry requirements

To fulfill the general entry requirements applicants must:

 

  • have successfully completed your upper secondary education and
  • prove basic proficiency in the English language (English course A). More information below.

 

For applicants who completed their upper secondary education January 1st, 2010 or later, there is an additional entry requirement for mathematics. These applicants must:

 

  • have successfully completed courses in Mathematics to reach the level of the Swedish course Mathematics A (approximately 10 years of Mathematics studies).

 

Specific entry requirements

In addition to the general entry requirements, all programmes also have specific entry requirements. For programme specific entry requirements and further details about the programme, please check the programme description »  

 

 

English language proficiency:

For all International Bachelor’s Programmes at Mid Sweden University you must prove your proficiency in English. There are two types of proficiency in English - English course A (basic proficiency) and English course B (special proficiency). To find out what applies to the Bachelor´s programme you want to apply for, please check the programme description »   

English course A from Swedish upper secondary school or equivalent (basic proficiency) can be proven by for example the following international tests:

 

  • TOEFL with a minimum score of 530 on the paper based test and not below 4.0 on the TWE
  • TOEFL with a minimum score of 72 on the Internet based test and not below 17 on the TWE
  • IELTS Academic Training with a minimum overall score of 5.5 and a minimum score on the specific parts of at least 5.0

 

English course B from Swedish upper secondary school or equivalent (special proficiency) can be proven by for example the following international tests:

 

  • TOEFL with a minimum score of 575 on the paper based test and not below 4.5 on the TWE
  • TOEFL with a minimum score of 90 on the Internet based test and not below 20 on the TWE
  • IELTS Academic Training with a minimum overall score of 6.5 and a minimum score on the specific parts of at least 5.5
