At Mid Sweden University, education and research are strongly connected. This is not only positive for you as a student, but it also develops our activity and our region.
Here, active researchers take a great part in the first and second cycle education. As a student, you have the opportunity to take part in our research and development projects, to gain new knowledge and also gain an insight in how new knowledge is developed and applied.
Mid Sweden University is located in a part of the country which has a strong, forest-based industry in the coastal region and an extensive tourism and adventure industry, above all in the mountain region. There is also a major IT sector, largely based on public authorities and banks, insurances and pensions.
We operates in an international environment. At the same time, we see it as one of our strengths to have an activity that focuses on research and educational fields based on local and regional interests.
We are also convinced that a reality-based education and research in close cooperation with the surrounding world produce noticeable results. Together with trade and industry, public authorities and other universities, we create innovations and increase growth.
