About FGV
The Forum for Gender Studies (FGV) is an interdisciplinary and intercampus platform from which to initiate and co-ordinate Gender Studies at Mid Sweden University.
The FGV shall contribute to creating a productive research environment, and shall support undergraduate courses in Gender Studies and the integration of a gender perspective in all programmes and courses at Mid Sweden University.
Although the Forum for Gender Studies is organisationally placed under the Department of Social Work in Östersund, the work of the FGV shall encompass the entire university. A special strategic group has therefore been appointed, comprising representatives from all of the departments at Mid Sweden University, whose duty is to maintain the quality of the work of the FGV and to ensure that it reaches out to and influences the entire university.
