Education
Härnösand, where the department of Education is situated, has a long tradition of teacher education. The first teacher training programme started already in 1842 and teacher education has been offered here ever since.
The current programmes for prospective teachers in preschool, youth leisure centres, primary school, secondary school and adult education, are the only programmes that lead to Bachelor’s or Master’s Degrees in Education (prospective folk school teachers are excepted).
At the department you may also study independent courses in Education, Social Science and different school subjects.
The department is also responsible for the Behavioural Science Programme with a specialisation in Human Science or Computer Science, which you may study at the Bachelor’s or Master’s level.
