Multiple product utilization
"Live paper" is an R&D project targeting Multiple Product Utilization.
The years to come we will explore the design potential in paper adopted to:
-New purposes –Paper webs with new properties
-New contexts –Paper webs substituting oil based products
-Multiple functions –Paper webs supporting new digital services
The Live Paper Project is truly multi disciplinary, with faculty and students from Graphic Design and Communication, Industrial Design, Electronic Design, Chemical Engineering and Digital Printing and Optics.
The project design team will support building prototypes, applications and business ideas. Researchers will focus on the digital media revolution and how to pave its way into the world of paper substrates and print technologies.
A real world dialogue will activate students, executives, artists, entrepreneurs and policy makers.
Industrial support is imperative in this effort. We are building this project in an open and exciting business community, promoting new ways of using and manufacturing organic fiber webs for multiple purposes.
