How to apply
You may apply to study abroad one or two semesters. Your options depend on your current studies at Mid Sweden University.
The application to study abroad includes two steps. The first step is to apply to be nominated as an exchange student to one of Mid Sweden University's partner universitites. If you are nominated as an exchange student by Mid Sweden University, the next step is to apply to the host university. The international coordinator at your department will inform nominated students about the application process to the partner university.

The online application for exchange studies in the autumn of 2013 and spring 2014 is closed. Late applications may be considered depending on space. Contact the international coordinator at your department for more information.
Required documents are:

Printed and signed online application- The application is closed. Please contact the international coordinator at your department for information about submitting a late application.
- A personal letter -Contact data and your motivation for wanting to study abroad. Tell us about your choice of country and university and describe yourself briefly. This letter must be in English, unless you wish to study at a university where classes are taught in a Scandinavian language. Then the letter may be written in Swedish.
- Transcript of records in English – A list of all your credits at Mid Sweden University.
- Language proficiency – If you apply for courses in other languages than English, you must support your language skills with a proficiency test certificate. If you apply for courses in English, you must support your language skills with a proficiency testvsuch as a TOEFL test, if required by the host university.
- Other certificates – Certificates of work for the Student Union´s International Committee or as a Student Ambassador.

Acceptance
About two weeks after the application deadline, which was February 15, 2013, applicants receive a letter of nomination or rejection by e-mail.
Please note, Mid Sweden University only nominates the student as an exchange student to the host university. Mid Sweden University do not guarantee admission. If you are nominated, the next step will be to send in your application to the host university. The international coordinator at your department will provide you with the application forms and other information regarding the host university.
