Study abroad as an exchange student

Your options varies depending on your current studies at Mid Sweden University.

What time is a good time to study abroad?
To go as an exchange student at Mid Sweden University, you must have been enrolled for at least two semesters and have a minimum of 60 credits at departure. The exchange studies have to take place before you complete your degree from Mid Sweden University.  Most students spend one semester abroad, but in some cases, you can stay one whole academic year. If you study a programme, you can for instance choose to go during one of the freely selectable semesters.

Where can I go and what can I study?
Mid Sweden University has exchange agreements with partner institutions all over the world. Most partners are located in Europe, but we also have partners in for example Australia, Canada and the USA. There are different possibilities depending on the subject or programme you study.  The international coordinator at your department will guide you.

Grants when studying abroad
There is a number of grants, but they are not always easy to find. Sometimes you have to apply in due time before you go and sometimes you can apply afterwards, when you are back. More information regarding grants.
