Research within DPC

The research at DPC is carried out in close cooperation with the industry. DPC is a place where manufacturers of printing equipment and ink can meet with the paper industry and the electronics industry to exchange thoughts and ideas within the framework of our research projects.

DPC has two research areas: Experimental Inkjet, including printing of color and functionalities, and Characterization and Appearance of materials and color. The research focuses on physical, chemical and optical interaction between ink or toner and the substrate (usually paper or board), and the effect on printability and functionality.

DPC is working closely together with the forest industrial research program Fibre Science and Communication Network and the Electronics Division within Mid Sweden University. Several international and national companies, institutes and Universities are participating in the research projects. An important objective for DPC is to be a neutral ground where open research projects can be carried out.
