Quality Technology

We offer courses with a close connection to trade and industry and second-cycle courses and study programmes focusing on leadership within product and business development, always with a customer focus. In our research, we develop and spread knowledge about the latest trends in our field, such as Lean and Appreciative Inquiry.

About the subject

We see Quality Technology as an interdisciplinary research area, where knowledge and skills from different subjects and fields are necessary to be able to understand and solve complex and often system-oriented problems. Therefore, at Mid Sweden University, there are researchers and doctoral students from fields like technology, economy and business administration. We also have a close cooperation with partners like the Division of Quality and Environmental Management at Luleå University of Technology.

A great part of our research focuses on the term “quality of life”. This area includes research in the field of experiences and the creation of so-called attractive quality, but also health-promoting business development and research on leadership and participation. Another part of the research focuses on methods and operation modes in product and process development aiming at profitability and customer satisfaction.
