Publish your thesis in DiVA
Compilation theses
For monographs, the full text can be published, but for a compilation
thesis only the summarising chapter can be published according to
copyright rules. Appended articles are registered and linked to the thesis. You may be allowed to upload author versions of your articles also, this is called parallel publishing.
PDF-format
Before starting the registering process, your text must be available in PDF format. Note that the document must consist of one file only.
Registration in DiVA
Publish in DiVA (new window, you will keep the instructions in this window)
You agree to the terms of the agreement and then you are forwarded to DiVA where you use your Student Portal ID to log in. If you have problems with your Student Portal account, please contact helpdesk.
- If you have produced a composite thesis, you are obliged to check that all the material included has been registered previously. Some material may have already been included in the annual report of MIUNs published works and dissertations. The research database, Forskningsdatabasen, harvests publication data from DiVA. The publications or manuscripts which have not been published are registered as manuscripts.
- Choose Publication Type : Lic or PhD dissertation and further, monograph or compilation thesis.
- If you are registering a composite thesis you must use the title page to acknowledge all the components in your thesis - follow the instructions and continue.
- Fill in the form with all the required information about the publication.
- Check that you fill in the ISBN (from the Library), Series (see the drop-down window) and the serial/series number.
- Locate the document on your PC (this should be one PDF file). Click UPLOAD
- Click SEND IN
After registration, your thesis will be checked by an administrator at the University Library. This process means that it will be a while before your thesis is visible and searchable in the DiVA and other search sites e.g. Libris.
