Special needs students: Print Impairment

University students with special needs can borrow course literature in alternative formats.

What is a special need?

Special needs include the visually impaired, the physically impaired and people with reading and writing disabilities. The Swedish Agency for Accessible Media produces books in alternative formats.

Download your literature

Download audio books yourself from the Legimus directory. Burn to CD, save the file to your computer or your MP3 player. You can also try the new Legimus App. Contact the library for more information. See contact information below.

The Library produces Daisy-discs

The Library can download and produce Daisy-discs (talking books) to order and you can receive your course literature shortly after the order is processed. Order Talking Books.

Contact co-ordinator

The co-ordinator can help you with additional support such as help with taking notes, text recordings, adjustment of rooms etcetera. Each campus has its co-ordinator, see Mid Sweden University’s page about disability services, right-hand column.
