As a student from a foreign country you probably want to learn about the Swedish language, culture and society. We offer you the course “Swedish Language, Swedish for foreign students I, 7,5 Credits.

The course has a focus on oral proficiency and is designed to help the students acquire basic proficiency in Swedish. The aim is that the student should be able to use Swedish in everyday situations. During the course we will also focus on the culture and society so the student will acquire a basic knowledge about Sweden.

We offer the course at all three campuses: Härnösand, Sundsvall and Östersund. 

Teaching comprises for example lectures, lessons, group exercises. We will use Svenska för utländska studenter (Swedish for foreign students) written by Gunilla Rehnqvist throughout the course. At the end of the course there will be an exam and the oral proficiency will be continuously assessed during lessons.

International students enrolled at Mid Sweden University can apply to study the course Swedish Language, Swedish for foreign students I, 7,5 Credits.

This course is intended for international students studying at Mid Sweden University. The course aims at providing an introduction to Swedish language and literature, as well as to Swedish culture and society.
