Forskningsområden

My current research interests are in physics of “complex matters”, which include both materials and systems. These matters are typically characterised by their stochastic, heterogeneous, and non-equilibrium nature, often exhibiting complex behaviour in macroscopic and meso scales.

Pågående forskning

For engineering applications, my special focus is on fibre network, a fundamental building block of paper. Some of my specific research areas are hygroexpansivity and structural instability of fibre network, statistical failure and strength scaling of disordered media, structure formation of fibre suspensions, and micro-fluidics in papermaking and printing.
