Alerts
Be notified within your topic: new articles, new citations, new journal issues and more.
There are several types of alerts to be found in literature databases:
- Search alerts
- Citation alerts
- Alerts about new journal issues and their table of contents (TOC-alerts)
- Alerts about new articles being published on the web (ASAP alerts)
Alerts are delivered as an RSS feed or by e-mail. When choosing e-mail usually you have to create an account within the literature database. If you choose RSS feed you will need an RSS reader. RSS reader functionality is included in web browsers such as Internet Explorer and Firefox.
RSS subscriptions can also be managed on the web using for example Netvibes, Bloglines or Google Reader. If you need help with RSS feeds or RSS subscriptions contact Lars Våge at the Library.
Take a look at the table below to find out which databases have alert functions and how they can be delivered to you. You will find the databases in our alphabetical database list.
