The Library acquires current course literature, at least two copies of each title. One copy of the title is placed in the short loan collection and is available for one day loan. The other copy is at an open shelve and has a loan period of 14 days.
The policy for acquisition of mandatory textbooks is one copy for one day loan and one copy for 14-day loans. If the textbook is compulsory literature at several different courses the library will purchase additional copies to be 14 days loan. Read more about one day loan
If the title is available as an e-book the library will purchase the e-book along with a print copy. An e- book gives increased access to all users, especially to the distance students.
Textbooks in electronic format do not imply that the library can guarantee with certainty that everyone may have simultaneous access to the same e-book. In individual cases the availability is limited, it is the publishers that determine the number of concurrent users or the number of credits (credits /loans) for the individual e- book.
Are you missing a course book in the library, you can order here or get in touch and we will buy the book as soon as possible.
