Theses

Mid Sweden University´s theses are published in accordance with the Vice-Chancellor´s decision Dnr BIB 2004/12 in two series – one for Doctoral theses and one for Licentiate theses. Regarding same decision the theses will also be available in digital form.

Publishing of theses

Mid Sweden University theses are published both in printed and digital form. Printing usually occurs at Mid Sweden University Printing House. The digital publishing are in DiVA.

By publishing doctoral theses in DiVA the theses is made public in digital form before the defending takes place called electronic "spikning" (see Vice-Chancellor´s decision No. 2008/560).

The library can also arrange a physical "spikning" ceremony, contact the library if you want to make an appointment for this.

ISBN

Your thesis should be assigned ISBN and ISSN number in the dissertation series. Use our form to order an ISBN.

Printing

Contact the Mid Sweden University Printing Office in advance to make an appointment for printing, contact Christina Olsson. The Print Office provides for the duty of 7 copies and distributes 6+15 copies to Mid Sweden University Library (15 specimens are stored for possible sale). Other distribution is managed by the author.

Publish digitally in DiVA

Save your thesis as a PDF-file to upload for DiVA. For Thesis should file contain only the coat of copyright? Some works will be recorded separately in DiVA form for theses is attached to your dissertation.
