Application procedure
The application for exchange studies spring 2016 is open between September 7th and November 1, 2015. We welcome applications from nominated students from our partner universities. Other applications will not be considered for exchange studies.
Students interested in studying at Mid Sweden University as exchange students first need to contact the international office at their home university. The home university will assist students in nominating the student for exchange studies at Mid Sweden University.
Application Procedure
1. Choose courses
Choose courses here, print and fill out the following form "Course application form exchange studies 2015-16." This form is required to be uploaded into the online application as a pdf. A complete, full time semester includes a total of 30 credits, built up either by single courses of 7.5–15 credits or one course of 30 credits. Mid Sweden University does not recommend students to choose a workload exceeding 30 credits per semester, with the exception of Swedish Language which may taken be on top of an otherwise full course load.
The single courses are divided into the undergraduate and the graduate level. On the undergraduate level, most courses are labeled A, B or C. A corresponds to basic level courses, B to continuing courses and C to advanced courses. D level courses are graduate level courses.
PLEASE NOTE: When applying for courses, it is important to choose courses that start at different times during the semester so that the student do not end up with several courses that run at the same time. Courses are usually taken one after the other (consecutive scheduling) or, if the courses are part time, two courses may be taken during the same time period. The courses are scheduled by week numbers. Spring semester 2016 begins week 3 (third week of January) and ends week 22 (first week of June). Please view course descriptions and the time period the courses are offered by clicking on "Courses" in the top left menu.
SWEDISH LANGUAGE: Please note that although Swedish Language is published as running the full semester, it is usually scheduled more intensely in the beginning of the semester and, as a result, finish earlier in the semester. In the autumn semester, the course usually runs September-November, and in the spring semester early February until late april. Please keep this in mind as you plan your schedule so you don't "run out" of courses too early in the semester.
MEDIA & COMMUNICATION: Please note that the courses "Narrative Forms in Media" and "Magazine Project" have limited enrolment, so students cannot enroll in both. Please choose one or the other. PLEASE SEE STUDY OPTIONS HERE. (PDF
