At Mid Sweden University, we are committed to the unique requirements of all our international students and provide them with the personal attention necessary to help them to make their experience a success. As a parent, we assure you that your son or daughter will receive a world-class education and the support he or she requires.

Mid Sweden University is located in the middle of Sweden, at the heart of Northern Europe. It is a young university, but its roots go back more than 150 years. Today, Mid Sweden University has three campuses, in Östersund, Sundsvall and Härnösand, with approximately 16 000 students. We can assure you that our students stay in an area where personal safety can be taken for granted.

Academic strength

Mid Sweden University offers programmes with distinct professional identities and they interact closely with research and interdisciplinary programmes. Our teachers are always available to provide our students with the help they need to expand their knowledge and prepare them for the future.

Mid Sweden University seeks to increase students' contact with working life while they pursue their education, to give them qualified job experiences.

Outcomes

The collaboration with trade, industry and research ensures an authentic education which is of benefit to society and also give our students a competitive edge on the global market. A student at Mid Sweden University gains knowledge that allows them to influence change and make a difference in the future.

Support for international students

In order to ensure our international students get the tools and help they need, we provide a variety of support services. The international student orientation programme at the beginning of each semester provides useful information and allows international students to get to know each other.

Throughout the year we provide counselling services, mentoring opportunities, academic support and places where international students can get advice and assistance.

Tuition for non EU/EEA citizens

Students who are citizens of countries outside the European Union (EU), the European Economic Area (EEA) or Switzerland are in general required to pay a tuition fee for studies in Sweden. The tuition fees per year for the international programmes offered by Mid Sweden University vary from 70 000 to 250 000 SEK. More information can be found on the Application and Tuition fees page.
