Evaluation of CBT-based treatment for fear of giving birth

Roughly 30% of women report some degree of fear of giving birth, were as nearly 16% have fear to a degree that is more than troublesome for them. Consequences can be seen in non-medical motivated caesareans.  In this project comparisons are made between internet based cognitive therapy and a treatment as usual condition (so called Aurora groups).

The project is carried out in 3 middle-seized communities in Sweden and is a collaborative effort between the Department of Psychology, the Department of Caring Sciences at MIUN, and UCARE at Uppsala University.
