Research is done about the influence of extreme environments on human performance. How do humans physiologically respond to breath hold diving for extended periods or to depths to beyond 100 m? How can climbers reach over 8000 m alitude, and how can athletes keep peforming well at 2000 m? In which ways does temperature affect human performance? How do you train and adapt to extreme environmets? These are some of the research questions in focus in the Enviromental Physilogy Group.
