Logistics and computer-based decision analysis

Print 29 Apr April 2014

Logistics and computer-based decision analysis is oriented towards process models to support complex decision problems where risks, uncertainties and trade-offs exist. Risk and decision analytical methods are applied or developed to include global logistics management, combinations of real options and decision analysis methods to promote strategic decision making, the industry, municipal decision-making problems, international mine clearance efforts and disaster preparedness.

An ongoing project is the Midnordic green transport corridor project, financed by the EU Baltic Sea Programme where a web-based transport matching system is being developed. This research is closely connected to the DECIDE Research Group at Stockholm University and has resulted in the spin-off company Preference AB and inters alia, the decision analysis software DecideIT.
