Mehrzad Lavassani Far is a PhD-student within the research group Sensor Network & Security and will be doing her research within the research project Dawn.
What is your area of interest?
Industrial Wireless Sensor Networks (IWSNs), Wireless communication, Distributed Systems and Security, and Cyber-Physical Systems
What is it that you are going to investigate in your Ph.D?
The DAWN project has its focus on distributed big data analysis in large scale wireless sensor networks. As part of the team I will be investigating methods to develop data mining algorithms which enhances data management in industry.
Why did you choose Sweden and Mid Sweden University?
I was a graduate student at Mid Sweden University, during two years of Msc study, I have become familiar with academic environment and the cutting-edge research projects conducting here. I also had the opportunity to work with Prof. Gidlund and Prof. Zhang, which made me extremely interested in continuing my study and research at this university as a PhD candidate.
