On Tuesday, September 15 2015, the management for research funding Knowledge Foundation visited Mid Sweden University. The Knowledge Foundation had chosen to hold its board meeting at Mid Sweden University in Sundsvall and suited in connection with it the opportunity to visit our research centers STC and FSCN to get a more detailed presentation of the research conducted.

2011 Mid Sweden University was granted  to become a so-called "KK-miljö" by Knowledge Foundation. Our two research centers STC and FSCN are parts of the "KK-miljö", called Transformative Technologies. It is a long-term initiative that aims to create a more profiled research in co-production with the industry. Mid Sweden University operates in a region of great forest industries that demand innovation and efficiency for increased profitability and growth. By combining Mid Sweden Universitys two areas of research in forestry and technology creates new opportunities for the region's industries to improve and renew working methods and products.
