Dr Steve Brown is the head of Tourism at Flinders University, Adelaide, Australia.
Dr Brown has been recognized as one of the world leaders in the academic field of Event Management, particularly for his creation of the undergraduate and postgraduate festival and event design management programs at Flinders.
His history of successful professional involvement in event management is also profound: he has either helped establish, or taken a major role in, long-standing events that include the Adelaide Festival, Barossa Under the Stars and WOMADelaide.
In 2012, he was given a lifetime achievement award for his contributions to the event industry at the annual Community Achievement Awards in Adelaide.
