DEPARTMENT OF PSYCHOLOGY (PSY)
The Department of Psychology is located at Campus Östersund. The department conducts research and education in the various domains of psychology.
DEPARTMENT OF NURSING SCIENCES (OMV)
The Department of Nursing Sciences is located at Campus Sundsvall and Campus Östersund. The department conducts education and research in the domain of nursing.
DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL SCIENCES (NAT)
The Department of Natural Sciences is located at Campus Sundsvall and at the Digital Printing Centre, DPC, in Örnsköldsvik. The department conducts research and education in the following subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mechanical Engineering, Graphic Arts Technology, Industrial Design Engineering, and Engineering Physics and Biology.
DEPARTMENT OF MEDIA AND COMMUNICATION SCIENCE (MKV)
The Department of Media and Communication Science is located at Campus Sundsvall. The department offers four first-level degree programmes and an international Master’s programme in the following subjects: Photojournalism, Graphic Design, Media and Communication Science, and Journalism. The research centre DEMICOM is also part of the department.
DEPARTMENT OF QUALITY TECHNOLOGY AND MANAGEMENT, MECHANICAL ENGINEERING AND MATHEMATICS (KMM)
The Department of Quality Technology and Management, Mechanical Engineering and Mathematics is located at Campus Östersund. The department conducts research and education in the following subjects: Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering, Quality Technology, Sport Technology, and Quality Management and Leadership.
DEPARTMENT OF CHEMICAL ENGINEERING (CHE)
The Department of Chemical Engineering is located at Campus Sundsvall and parts of its activities are located at Campus Härnösand, one of which is the energy lab. The department conducts research and education in Energy Engineering and Chemical Engineering.
DEPARTMENT OF INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION SYSTEMS (IKS)
The Department of Information and Communication Systems is located at Campus Sundsvall. The department conducts research and education in the following subjects: Computer Engineering, Informatics, Electrical Engineering, Computer and System Science, and Business Management and Organization.
DEPARTMENT OF INDUSTRIAL DESIGN (IND)
The Department of Industrial Design is located at Campus Sundsvall. The department offers a three-year Bachelor’s programme and a two-year Master’s programme in Design for All.
DEPARTMENT OF HUMANITIES (HUM)
The Department of Humanities is located at Campus Sundsvall. The department conducts research and offers more than 70 different courses in History, Comparative Literature, English, Spanish, Swedish and Religious Studies.
DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH SCIENCES (HLV)
The Department of Health Sciences is located at Campus Sundsvall and Campus Östersund. The department conducts research and education in Public Health Science, Sport Science, and Rehabilitation Science.
DEPARTMENT OF ELECTRONICS DESIGN (EKS)
The Department of Electronics Design is located at Campus Sundsvall. The department’s activities include research and education in the following subjects: Electronics, Electrical Engineering, and Sound Production.
DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL SCIENCES (SHV)
The Department of Social Sciences is located at Campus Östersund and Campus Sundsvall. The department conducts research and education in four subjects: Gender Studies, Criminology, Sociology and Political Science.
DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL WORK (SOA)
The Department of Social Work is located at Campus Östersund. The core activities of the department are the education and continuing professional development of social workers, as well as conducting research and third-cycle courses and study programmes in Social Work.
DEPARTMENT OF TOURISM STUDIES AND GEOGRAPHY (TUG)
The Department of Tourism Studies and Geography is located at Campus Östersund. The department conducts research and education in Tourism.
DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION (UTV)
The Department of Education is located at Campus Härnösand. Most of the department’s activities revolve around the programmes in Teacher Education, which include Child and Youth Education, and the education of primary and secondary school teachers.

The Department of Ecotechnology and Sustainable Building Engineering is located at Campus Östersund. The department conducts research and education in the following subjects: Ecotechnology, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, and Building Technology.
