Miun Innovation, Mid Sweden University´s office for Innovation and Business, offers students and employees the opportunity to test the potential of their idea and develop it into a business idea. We also offer teachers and researchers the opportunity to utilize their research.

Do not hesitate to contact us if you have a business idea! You must not have gotten very far with your thoughts; the earlier we meet, the better for you, for your business idea and for us. For obvious reasons, our work is strictly confidential.

The intended purpose of Miun Innovation is to

• stimulate students to create business ideas that derive from research and academic knowledge and support the idea owner in the innovation process from idea to business concept

• stimulate researchers and teachers to create business ideas that derive from research and support the idea owner in the innovation process from idea to business concept

• develop a culture within the university that makes commercializing and business developing an attractive choice for researchers and students.

• establish Miun Innovation as an important part of the regional innovation system

Facts and funding
In the autumn of 2011, Miun Innovation was granted funds from the EU Structural Funds, Objective 2.  Miun Innovation also received funding from the County Administrative Board in Västernorrland, The Regional Council of Jämtland and the municipalities of Östersund and Sundsvall.

An internal innovation-supporting activity was initiated during the autumn of 2008. After that, Miun Innovation started its activities during the spring of 2009.
