Bakgrund

Mikael Nordenmark disputerade i Sociologi vid Umeå Universitet år 1999 med avhandlingen "Unemployment, Employment Commitment and Well-being - The Psychosocial Meaning of (Un)employment among Women and Men". Hen blev Docent i Sociologi vid Umeå Universitet 2003. Från 1 augusti 2006 är Mikael Nordenmark Professor i Rehabiliteringsvetenskap vid Avdelningen för Hälsovetenskap, Mittuniversitetet. Han har varit gästforskare vid "The Swedish Collegium for Advanced Study in the Social Sciences" i Uppsala och vid "The Center for Advanced Study in the Behavioral Sciences" i Stanford.

Forskningsområden

Mikael Nordenmarks forskningsområden behandlar olika samband mellan arbetsliv, familjeliv, kön och välbefinnande, både ur ett svenskt och internationellt perspektiv.
