Bakgrund

Ismail Ibrahem was born in 1972 in Bagdad, Iraq. He got his M Sc in 2004 from Stockholm University, and finished his PhD in asymmetric organocatalysis at Stockholm University (with Prof. A. Cordova) in 2007. He then moved to Boston College, US for a post doc in the field of asymmetric metal catalysis (Molybdenum catalyzed olefin metathesis) with Prof. Amir H. Hoveyda and in close collaboration with Prof. Richard R. Schrock (Nobel Laurate), at MIT, US.
Returning to Sweden, he became Associate Professor at Mid Sweden University, Sundsvall.

2-Selective Catalysis and Asymmetric Synthesis

Our research interests: The fields of organic synthesis, organometallic chemistry, Organocatalysis Dual catalysis, and asymmetric catalysis.
