Bakgrund

Since 2000 I have been researching in three main issues: (1) Risk factors for severe physical and mental health problems in samples of drug abusers, (2) Violence and reoffending risk assessment and risk factors associated with delinquent careers in forensic and community samples of adolescents and young adults, and (3) The relationship between psychopathy, parenting and antisocial behavior.
A postdoctoral position within the Research Unit on Children's Psychosocial Maladjustment in Montréal allowed me to research on the impact of childhood maltreatment and other parental behaviors on subsequent adolescent violent and delinquent behavior focusing on the influence of psychopathic traits in these relationships.
A postdoctoral position in Örebro University gave me the opportunity of continuing my research on the issue of parenting, psychopathy and delinquency and allowed me to work on a conceptual framework of the construct of psychopathy itself.
