The first thing you need to do in order to apply for a study place at our university is to identify which applicant group you belong to. Are you interested in studying at Mid Sweden University within an exchange program or do you want to study one of our international programmes an exchange agreement (free mover applicant)? This is very important, as the application process differs between exchange students and free movers/individual applicants.

Freemover applicants

From inside the EU/EEA/Switzerland

These applicants are citizens from the 30 members countries of the European Union (EU), the EEA (European Economic Area; Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway) and Switzerland. This includes permanent residents and citizens of Sweden. These applicants will NOT be required to pay application and tuition fees.

Key dates for applicants with citizenship inside EU/EEA/Switzerland

From outside the EU/EEA/Swizerland

These applicants are NOT citizens from countries in the European Union (EU), the EEA (European Economic Area; Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway) and Switzerland. These applicants will be required to pay application and tuition fees.

Applicants for exchange studies

Exchange students are students coming to Mid Sweden University for one or two semesters within the framework of an exchange agreement. Please got to Exchange studies for more information.

Apply for exchange studies

If your univeristy has an agrreement with us you can apply for exchange studies. The application is made directly to Mid Sweden University, visit the exchange website for further information.
