Investigates the role of orthography in speech production in Japanese speakers.

The aim of this project is to investigate the role of orthography in speech production in Japanese speakers and to examine the cognitive mechanisms underlying reading in the polyscript language of Japanese.

This will expand our understanding of both monolingual and bilingual language processing, as well as reading difficulties (such as dyslexia).

The research project is done in collaboration with Doshisha University, Japan.
