Venue and local information
The workshops will be held at Mid Sweden University (MIUN) in the city of Sundsvall. MIUN is within walking distance from the Sundsvall city centre, a 15-20 minute walk or a 3 minute bus ride that stops right outside of the university.
The actual workshops and poster sessions will be held in and outside of rooms O102 and O111, in the O building on the bottom floor.
The lunches will be served in the main cafeteria, located in the N building's bottom floor. Both the O and N building are right next to each other and connected together. See the campus map of all the buildings at campus Sundsvall to the right.
The social event starts with a guided city tour through the city of Sundsvall. After the city tour, we will have a short walk to the restaurant "En liten krog" that will serve a buffet of Sundsvall specialties.
The city tour will start at approximately 18:00 from Kulturmagasinet, which is located in the city centre and we will arrange a joint walk from the university campus at approximately 17:30.

Take the train to Sundsvall
We recommend travelling by train to Sundsvall and there are several departures per day from Stockholm, Umeå and Östersund. The travel time from Stockholm is around 3.5 hours with the high speed trains. There are many train options:
SJ: Stockholm – Sundsvall
Norrtåg: Trondheim – Åre – Östersund – Sundsvall
Norrtåg: Umeå-Sundsvall
X-tåget: Gävle – Sundsvall
Take the bus to Sundsvall
The bus takes 5.5 hours to Sundsvall:
Y-buss: Stockholm – Sundsvall, Åre – Sundsvall
Fly to Sundsvall
It is also possible to fly to Sundsvall. It takes around 50 minutes to fly from Stockholm and 1 hour from Gothenburg to arrive at Sundsvall-Timrå Airport. The airport is however located outside of Sundsvall and you will need to take a 20 minute taxi ride to get into the city. Hence, it is recommended to pre-book Flygtaxi. Local travel in Sundsvall
Sundsvall is well connected with city bus lines and there are many taxi companies. The city bus lines are operated by: Din Tur. The city busses go every 10 minutes and line 1 stops right outside of the university campus. Notice that you can only pay with credit or debit cards on the city buses.
