Lusine Margaryan
Background
My academic background includes MSc. in Leisure, Tourism and Environment from the University of Wageningen, the Netherlands, MSc. in Environmental Sciences and Policy from the Central European University in Budapest, Hungary as well as Specialist Diploma in Social-Cultural Service and Tourism from the Russian-Armenian (Slavonic) State University in Yerevan, Armenia. In between my degrees I worked at the Regional Environmental Center for the Caucasus in Yerevan, Armenia.
Area of interest
My research focuses on nature-based tourism supply in Sweden. It includes general characteristics, social and economic impacts, influence of the right of public access, commodification of nature experiences as well as other practical aspects and theoretical underpinnings of nature-based tourism.
Current research
Currently I am working on the analysis of statistical data from the survey we conducted in 2013, which gathered comprehensive information of nature-based tourism companies from all over Sweden.
