Organization
The Mid Sweden University Library with Learning Resource Centre (LRC) have three campus libraries and five areas of activity, each with a campus wide coordinating team.
The library's management group coordinates activities and prepares the decisions of the Director of Libraries.
In accordance with the Agreement for Cooperation for the Combined Library in Härnösand, as well as a council for the Combined Library, there is also a council for the Integrated Library System (ILS).
Learning Resource Centre
Learning Resource Centre, LRC for short, is organized as a unit of the University Library.

Library Advisory Council
The Library Advisory Council serves in an advisory capacity to the Vice-Chancellor, on matters pertaining to the long-term development and promotion of library matters. The Advisory Council includes representatives from the faculties and departments, the student union and the library.

Library Management Group
The Library Management Group coordinates library activities and processes not only general routines but also specific matters which staff deem important. The Library Management Group also drafts new policy decisions for the Director of Libraries.
The Library Management Group consists of the Director of Libraries and the three campus Library Managers.
Campus Library collaboration
The Campus Library in Härnösand works in collaboration with the Public Library of Härnösand and the County Library of West Norrland, which are all housed in the Combined Library of Härnösand.
The Campus Library in Sundsvall currently provides library services to SCA and FSCN researchers and is also the location of one of Sweden´s European Documentation Centres (EDC).
The Combined-Library Advisory Council
The Combined-Library Advisory Council´s roll is twofold; partly to ensure that the Agreement for Cooperation is adhered to and partly to process policy matters regarding the internal functions of the Combined-Library e. g. IT-strategy, staff policy, the work environment, general safety conditions.The Council is made up of eight members:
- Mid Sweden University nominates one member (and a vice member)
- West Norrland County Council nominates one member (and a vice member)
- The Municipality of Härnösand nominates two members (and vice members)
- The Public Library Manager in Härnösand (or a vice member)
- The County Librarian from the West Norrland County Library (or a vice member)
- The Library Manager for the Mid Sweden University Library, Campus Härnösand (or the assistant manager)
- A representative of the Friends of the Library Association
Vice members are always allowed to attend meetings of the Combined-Library Advisory Council.
The Integrated Library System Advisory Council
The ILS of the Mid Sweden University Campus Härnösand, and the Combined-Library of Härnösand, is also shared by and the West Norrland County Library and the Public Library in Härnösand.The Integrated Library System Advisory Council is the forum where the parties involved can discuss questions regarding the integrated library system´s operation, maintenance and development. The recommendations of the working group are then considered by the Combined-Library Advisory Council.
The Integrated Library System Advisory Council is made up of the following members:
- Director of Libraries, Mid Sweden University Library, Chairman and convener
- Library Managers of Campus Härnösand, Campus Sundsvall and Campus Östersund
- Public Library Manager and two staff representatives, Härnösand
- A representative for the West Norrland County Library
- The Systems Librarian, Mid Sweden University Library
