The department of psychology at Mid Sweden University in Östersund has hosted The Master in Emotion Psychology Conference (MEP) since 2016. The theme for the 2018 edition is "Theory and Empirical Data".
Studies are often vague about what theoretical approach to emotion is supported by their results. Therefore, this year's invited speakers will present some of their empirical results and relate them to a specific emotion theory. The presentations will be followed by a panel session with the invited speakers discussing existing empirical support for different emotion theories.
