Today, several hundred high school students visited Mid Sweden University to attend a science day. STC researchers Krister Hammarling, Jan Thim, Benny Thörnberg and Xiaotian Li presented what a researcher do and held inspiring lectures.

Professor Gang Wang, from the prestigious University of Science and Technology (USTC) in Hefei, China, is currently visiting STC for two weeks.

IoT Innovations

June 5, 2019 it was time to summerize the research project SMART - Smart systems and services. This was done with a completely new event called IoT Innovation with a Tech Tour around town where the participant met some of the partner companies and researchers within the project. At each station, they presented results from the research project.

Licentiate thesis Stefan Haller

June 17, 2019 it was time for PhD-student Stefan Haller to present his licentiate thesis "MOSFET enabled Low-Voltage High-Current DC Traction Drive". Stefan and his research team has developed a revolutionary low-voltage motor for electric cars. The opponent was Professor Yujing Liu, Chalmers University of Technology.

Innovation workshop on 5G

Yesterday the forest industry met to discuss how 5G can enable new use cases and possibilities to drive down cost, increase production adaptivity and generate new value streams. This worskhop was arranged in collaboration between Bron Innovation, Mittuniversitetet, RISE, Telia and Tieto.​
