New opening hours from August 26

As of August 26th the library will be open without staffing on weekday mornings. This means that the premises will be available to visit and use from 08.00, but that personal service in the circulation desk will be available from 08.30 (regular opening hours).

It is possible to use the library's self service machines when returning or borrowing the library's books.

New library system in place!

During the summer of 2019, we have changed our library system where we handle all our printed books, loans and reservations. The exchange itself was carried out in connection with the library's closed weeks during the summer. Minor (cosmetic) adjustments are ongoing during August and September, but you as a borrower are now welcome to reserve, borrow and return your loans as usual. The system is still new to us in the staff as well, so we hope you have indulgence if we need some extra time to solve queries in the loan desk.

Changed loan period for course books

As of Monday, June 17, all course books have a loan period of 10 days. The so-called short-term loans (one-day loans) have also been converted into 10-day loans. Because of this we now buy more copies of course books, 3-4 copies as the basic level (often more) instead of 2 as before. Other literature still has a 30 day loan period.

Automatic renewals of your current loans

We now use automatic renewals. This means that the books you have borrowed will be automatically renewed when the loan period begins to approach its end, as long as they are not reserved by anyone else. When the book can no longer be borrowed, you receive an email asking you to return the book. A book can be borrowed for up to 150 days.

Interlibrary loans (loans from other libraries) are not covered by the automatic renewals, if you want to renew your interlibrary loans you can do that here.

More extra days for distance education students

We have increased the number of extra loan days to 7 for distance education students, to ensure that they will be able to access the books throughout the loan period, in case there are delays with the postal service.

A review of the login to My loans is ongoing

In My loans you can see your reservations, ongoing loans and more. A review of the login to My loans is currently underway. If you have any difficulties logging in, we recommend that you clear the cache in your browser, restart and try logging in again. We hope any problems will be resolved soon.

Academic Resource Centre

Our academic rescource centre is available every weekday between 13.00 and 14.30 in the library. Here you can meet writing tutors, librarians and student mentors without having to book time. Read more about what we can help you with.
