Template for independent projects

In order to make it easier for students to complete their independent projects, and to simplify reporting in DiVA, Mid Sweden University has developed a Word template. It is available in both Swedish and English, for C (Word 2013) and Mac (2011).

Only you who are logged in as an employee at Mid Sweden University can view and download the templates on this page.

The front page of all independent projects must be designed according to the template. The appearance of the front page is specified in the graphic profile manual, which is a steering document. The front page content is decided based on the procedure for managing independent projects, reg no MIUN 2012/403. The procedures for each faculty are linked on this page, where information on publication terms is also available. The submission (the pages that follow the front page) is decided on by the subject representative, or a person appointed by the institution.

Information about the template and the mandatory front page will be published in the course environment by the course coordinator.

The template documents
On the front page of the template, you will find clickable fields with mandatory information. On page two, there is an example of how the table of contents is structured and on page three; there are examples of how the insert can be formatted.

On the front page of the document, please fill in the information below. Images are not allowed on the front page.

Title: The title of the independent project

Subtitle: A subtitle is optional. If there is no subtitle, delete ”subtitle”

Author: The author´s first and last name

Document type: The name of the course/orientation of the syllabus

Main field of study: The main field of study, level and progression

Credits: The number of credits for the independent work

Semester/year: The current semester and year

Supervisor: The first and last name of the supervisor

Examiner: The first and last name of the examiner

Course code/registration number: This information is optional and written down if considered relevant. Otherwise – remove the entire line.
