The project aims to test a group-intervention, Teaching Recovery Techniques (TRT), to prevent trauma related symptoms among refugee children and youth in Sweden.

Team Hands Linked Together

Together with the research group Child Health And Parenting (CHAP), led by Anna Sarkadi at Uppsala University, we have planned two large trials to test TRT in a Swedish context. The method has already shown good effects among children in war- and disaster affected areas. The aim of the present research is to further test TRT in a vulnerable population in Sweden: children and youth who fled from their home countries.

The project is funded by the Kavli Trust, 2018-2020
