Bakgrund

I graduated in Production Engineering at the University of São Paulo (Brazil), where I also did my Masters in Mathematics. In 2012, I got my PhD in Mathematics from the National Autonomous University of Mexico.

Forskning

My research focuses on the area of Singularity Theory. I am interested in the study of the geometry and topology of singular spaces, such as complex analytic spaces and real subanalytic sets. I look for invariants and handleable structures that help us understand and classify such objects. One approach is to look at non-singular spaces that degenerate into the singular one. Another approach is to study how these singular spaces behave under small perturbations, in some topological sense.
