FORE
"FORE - Forest as a Resource" is a concept based on mechanical pulp production where traditional and new fiber-based products can be produced in synergy with eg extraction of chemicals, bioenergy, synthesis gas, electricity or minerals. The research project was completed in 2014.
It is important to create innovative solutions and strengthen entrepreneurship for how renewable energy is to be produced and how the raw material is used in value-creating ways. This may apply to new biofuels, but also to the development of valuable products from bio refineries and alternative product areas from forest raw materials that strengthen and complement the production of traditional forest products: paper and pulp and wood products.
