In the academic subject media and communication science, media and communication are studied. The studies include the terms and conditions of media and communication, including production, content and forms of expression, and their significance for society and for people's thinking and daily existence.
At Mid Sweden University, the studies in media and communication science are conducted with focus on four areas: journalism, media development, organizations communication and political communication. The studies in the subject media and communication science can, however, be interdisciplinary oriented depending on project content.
