Self‑service FAQ
Borrow
I've ordered an interlibrary loan, but can't find the book in the library?
Interlibrary loans can only be borrowed during our staffed hours. Make sure to visit the library during the specified opening hours to borrow and collect your desired book.
Why can't borrow my books?
If you are unable to borrow using the self-service stations, it may be due to one of the following:
Login Information
Do you have the correct login information? Miun students and staff log in with the same credentials as for the student web and staff web. Others log in with their personal identification number and the password they have chosen.
Is it the right book?
Check that the borrower number on the slip in the book matches the number in the email you should have received from us. If these do not match, the book is not reserved for you, and you cannot borrow it. Place the book back on the reservation shelf where you took it.
Fees
If you have fees of 200 SEK or more, you will be automatically blocked from further loans. Review your loans and fees via My Pages. Come back during staffed hours to pay your fee.
Activated account
If you have applied for a library account via our website but have not yet had your account activated by staff at the information desk, you cannot borrow. Come back during staffed hours.
Restart the self-service station
If the self-service station has stopped working, you can try restarting it by using the on/off button on the underside of the screen. Press once to turn off and once again to restart. Wait for the program to start up. Restart occurs automatically after a few seconds.
If none of the above resolves the issue, come to us during staffed hours for further assistance.
Premises
I don't have a Miun key tag, how do I get in?
To enter our premises during our self-service hours, you need to have a Miun key tag.
