Grading Criteria
Mid Sweden University applies a criterion-referenced seven-grade or three-grade scale in most of the courses. For some courses a two-point grading scale is applied. The grading scale for a specific course is always specified in the course syllabus.
Note that there may be elements in the course that are graded with a different grading scale than the one given as a grade for the entire course.
There are general grading criteria for the seven- and three-point grading scale respectively, which apply to both first and second cycle education. In addition, each subject/main field of study has specific criteria for the seven-point scale.
